built to do something different, the fashion presentations were designed to be a third space for local creatives to find fresh inspiration through design. this fills the gap that i saw missing in my community, and became something i always wanted to see when growing up.

the world cup trunk show, hosted by blackbird collection, was an experiential exhibition that was designed to gather the local community during a historical moment in kansas city.
this showcase was an opportunity to bring both local and international fashion together, mixing elements of vintage and athletic themes. on top of highlighting locally-sourced vintage and a kansas city-based designer, this trunk show was in collaboration with Fifa 1904, Eckhaus Latta and Studio Constance.
